Our site features a wonderful collection of patterns that include famous designers to easy to sew. This is a great time of year to start on fall wardrobe pieces as well as getting a head start on Halloween and holiday sewing. We have many categories to choose from, and you can use the search box to look for patterns using keywords such as easy, designer, holiday, etc. Please take your time browsing our site and contact us if you have any questions or requests. Fall brings fun sewing and crafting!

Now that it’s fall, it’s a great time to begin sewing for the holidays. We have a great selection of patterns, kits, books and now fabric and notions to help you complete your projects! Many of our items are out of print and no longer available in stores, but as we all know, we can be in the middle of an important garment or project only to find the fabric or craft store is sold out and the line is no longer being produced.

We are always adding new stock, so be sure to check back often and please like us on Facebook because you will be the first to know about any new additions to the site and updates.

Halloween Sewing Season is here!

October is one of the busiest sewing seasons, and Halloween costume sewing is one big reason! If you love to sew your own costumes, then you will find a great selection of vintage and modern costume patterns at Sewing Pattern Heaven! We have sizes from babies to adults. In addition to Halloween theme costumes, we have costumes for historical re-enactments, plays, pagents and Christmas.

As you make your selection, be sure to read the pattern envelope information carefully. Most patterns are comfortable, loose fit but some patterns require special materials such as lycra or other specialty knits for the correct fit and appearance. If you love the classic look of a vintage costume, we have some great selections too. Remember that vintage patterns (those issued before about 1968) also have different sizing, so read the measurements and sizes carefully before you choose a vintage pattern.

In addition to costume patterns, we have seasonal clothing and home dec patterns as well. And if you like to sew for Christmas gifts and home decorations you will find a nice selection of patterns, kits and books too. New Fall patterns have arrived!

Fall is now here, and a great time to start sewing your new seasonal wardrobe items. Many of the patterns listed on Sewing Pattern Heaven feature fast and easy details as well as great designer tips and shortcuts to give your garment a professional look. Sewing for kids is also a great way to save money and get a good fit as the child grows. Fabrics such as polar fleece are warm, easy care and easy to sew as well and come in a wide variety of colors, prints and thicknesses. Making zip up jackets from polar fleece for example is not only fashionable but polar fleece does not ravel so does not require special treatment of the cut edges.

We also carry popular vintage patterns, styles that are timeless, classic and always in style. Remember if you choose a vintage pattern, that those issued before 1968 had different sizing than the modern day patterns. You may have to choose a size other than the one you currently use in order to get the right bust, waist and hip sizes. Coming up soon is also Halloween, a big sewing time of year.
