“I have seen some sellers offer photocopies or downloaded copies of a pattern. Does your site also sell those?”
No, we don’t sell copies downloads or photocopies of any pattern, book or other product on our site. There are two reasons: first there are copyright laws for books, patterns, DVD’s and other materials that prohibit someone from taking an original and reproducing or copying the materials and selling them. Also, often when a pattern for example is photocopied, important quality issues such as the resolution may not reproduce the pattern accurately. Even a small issue from making a copy can alter the measurements or seam allowances which can result in a pattern that doesn’t fit correctly or look the same as what is pictured on the envelope.
“Do you allow for returns, refunds or exchanges?”
Unless there was a technical error such as the website showing a pattern was in stock when it actually was sold out, we do not allow refunds, returns or exchanges. It is very rare that there would be a mistake on our site where a technical error may happen that could show something still in stock when sold out. If that does happen, we will reverse the payment to the buyer and correct the error on our site.
One important reason is that we don’t allow a customer to buy a pattern, fabric, book and any other product, use it or expose it to certain conditions in their environment and then ask for a refund or return. We scan pictures and list the product accurately and we never sell patterns, books or fabric for example that have odors such as musty smell or smoke, or have pet hairs. We assure the customers coming to our site that they will buy a product in as top quality condition as possible, and we take the time to scan each item and write detailed descriptions to show the exact condition of what it listed.
Customers are also encouraged to ask questions before purchasing. We check our emails each day and answer promptly.
